How do I join?
Registration is 100% free. Click Register and follow the instructions. After you fill in basic information about yourself, you will receive a confirmation code to your e-mail address. How do I edit my profile?
Log in to your account and click the link "profile" at the top menu. Here you can add/edit text information about yourself, write essays, view your profile as other members can see it, upload photos and videos, view Credits history and change settings of your profile.
How do I upload my photos?
Log in to your account, open profile management section and click "Upload photos". Here you can upload up to 20 photos. You can delete old photos and upload new ones at any time. After you uploaded the photos, our team will approve them; this process can take up to 24 hours. Any photo that doesn't conform to our specifications will be deleted. Can I upload my video?
Log in to your account, open profile management section and click "Upload video". You can upload up to 3 videos in any format. We recommend keeping your videos smaller than 20 MB (1 min.) You can delete old videos and place new ones at any time. They will automatically convert into web-playable format. Your videos will be approved by our team and become visible within 24 hours.
How can I search the profiles?
You can use a link "Search" at the top menu. Here you can use basic search (by age, country, etc.). You can use search by the user name or by keywords. Click "Custom Search" at the right menu to search users by more detailed criteria (weight, height, education, children, etc.).
You can search profiles being either being logged in or logged off. Viewing photo galleries, although free, requires being logged in.
How can I view videos of the members?
Those members who have video uploaded have an icon next to their photo "video profile". Open a profile and click "View video" button.
If a member does not have an uploaded video, please ask him or her to upload it.
When a lady writes her level of English is good, what exactly does it mean?
That would mean that she can understand the general meaning of your letter, but she would face difficulties writing a reply in English. Support of a translator is recommended.
Levels of English mean:
excellent - a girl can read your letters in English and can write a reply in English
good - a girl can read your letters in English with a vocabulary, but it is hard for her to express herself in English, she most likely needs help of a translator.
poor - a girl can not read or write in English, she needs help of a translator.
What does an icon next to the lady's thumbnail photo mean?
When you put a mouse over the icon it shows member's Level (beginner, novice, expert, intermediate), they show you how experienced a member is at our website.
Factors which help to improve the level: duration of the membership, quantity of photos approved, videos approved, viewed profiles, messages sent and received, ecards sent and received.
Factors which decrease the level: quantity of photos, video, posts and comments rejected.
I want to start a live chat with a lady, what software/hardware do I need?
You do not need any additional software to have a live chat with a lady, live audio/video chat feature is installed on the website.
To start an audio conversation you both need microphones and speakers, and to start a video chat you need web cameras. If you have a web camera and a lady does not, then she will see you, but you will not be able to her and vice versa. Your lady is welcome to one of Unona offices in Ukraine. We will provide an interpreter, web camera and high speed Internet connection for you to fully enjoy the chat.
What would be the best way to have a live chat with a lady?
You could either invite a lady to chat live instantly.
To start a Live Chat instantly, check a floating window in the right bottom corner to see who of the ladies in online. You could start a Live Chat with any lady who is currently online. If a lady does not accept your invitation to chat live, please contact our customer support at email@example.com and you will get a full refund for the chat. If a lady accepts your invitation but for a technical error a chat does not happen, we will provide a refund for your chat. We can not provide refunds for chats cancelled for technical reasons (time out, power failure, computer restart etc.) if the chat lasted more than 30 minutes.
If you are unhappy with a quality of a Live Chat, please inform our support right away. You can not claim a refund for a chat, if you already initiated a next one.
Please note that if you had a short chat but you or your lady informed contact information in a chat, no refund for the chat is provided.
Please mind that most of the ladies are inexperienced Internet users and very often they get lost and do not how to act when suddenly they receive an invitation to chat. When the lady comes to our office, we will provide a computer for her. You could request assistance of an interpreter separately for an additional fee of $24.95 for up to 60 minutes.
Click an icon of the monitor in the text messenger to start live audio/video chat. You will get a pop up window asking whether you allow using multimedia hardware (speakerphones and web camera) for this chat. Confirm your action clicking "Agree". The lady should to the same.

Once you started a live chat, you have up to 24 to keep your conversation going. But if you close a chat or a chat is closed because of the time out (not in use) you will have to start a new chat and make a new payment even if it is still in the 24 hours window.
I sent an invitation to chat with a lady, but she didn't accept the invitation. My account was charged 12 credits. What can I do?
This can happen when a lady was not expecting for your invitation, got lost and didn't know what to do. If she needs any information on how to have a live chat, she could always refer to the "Help" section in Russian or contact our customer support for more help.

To make your profile visible to the other members besides initial registration, please fill in more details to your profile - like essays, photos, videos etc. This way we make sure that intentions of our members are serious.
Why would I want to add ladies to my friends?
When you add ladies to your "Friends" folder you could see right away when they are online, you can get notifications on their birthdays.
In the "settings" section you can also set so that only your friends could see your profile, so that other members would not bother you when you correspond with somebody exclusively.
How can I delete my account?
To delete your account open your profile, then settings and use the form to delete your account at the very bottom of the page.
Can restore my profile after it has been deleted?
Yes, we can restore the data for you. Just contact our customer support and inform your user name or e-mail address you used to register the account.

When I was typing my message, the site restarted and I lost what I wrote, why is that?
To ensure the security of the information placed on the website, it restarts in several minutes when not in use. We strongly advise to use Microsoft Word program to compose and type your messages. When a message is ready you copy and paste it in the message field on the site. This way you will never lose any of your messages.
I sent a message to a lady, but she says she has not received it, is it possible?
Check your "Sent" folder to find your message and make sure that you did send it. You could also check your "Credits History" folder to check whether your account has been charged for a service. If you have any doubts whether your message has been sent, always check your "Sent" folder.

I have requested a translation. When can I expect the message to be translated?
We take 1 business to translate your message. But usually you can expect it to be translated within few business hours.

I received a letter translated by Unona Translation Service, how does it work?
Many of our ladies do not have computers at home or do not have regular Internet access. When you send a letter or a smile to a lady, our translators then contact the lady via cell phone or regular phone to inform her about the incoming mail. She can come to our office to check her mail and reply (for a standard fee for computer usage) or she could dictate a reply on the phone (free). Since lots of ladies work full time and commute, it is very convenient for them to dictate a letter on the phone.
Our translators process ladies' replies on the phone and send them to you with a mark "Translated". It is up to you whether to open a translated letter or not. The cost of opening a translated letter is 4 credits. Tips for success
Do you screen the members?
To protect your identity our website uses anonymous e-mail system and all members details remain confidential. Your personal and contact information are concealed. Please note that we do not screen our members. Reasonable care should be exercised in Internet dating.
If you are suspicious of a person or if someone asks you for money, use common sense and then report the situation to us by using the "Report Abuse" icon located on the member's profile.
What happens next after I file an Abuse Report?
After we get your report we will ask you to provide any proof of scam - receipts of money transfers, lady's letters asking for money etc. We will also talk to the lady and the manager of the office who registered her (if she registered in person and not online). Depending on the results of the investigation lady's profile will either be removed from the site permanently or we flag it and let her keep her membership till she gets another flag and has her profile removed.
