He says he is completely sold on the special sweetness, femininity, and beauty that Ukrainian women have, “there is no going back”.
Whether communicating with your favorite lady over the internet, the telephone, or actually in person, there are some mistakes to avoid. There are many reasons we make these, the main ones being the large differences between Ukrainian culture and that of the USA and Western world. Also the difference in the beauty and femininity of ladies in the two spheres can lead to very different expectations.
Be absolutely, 100% honest, always. In my experience, Ukrainian ladies are good at telling when you are lying. Also, it is more a negative for them than for American ladies, even a “little white lie”. Following in this vein, you should just be yourself when you communicate with her. Both of you are interested in marriage, a very (hopefully!) long term relationship. She is going to find out who the real you is eventually anyway, you may as well just be him right from the beginning. The good news in all of this is that Ukrainian ladies tend to be more forgiving of imperfections and negative traits than others you may have spent time with. She wants to find a good man, of course, but she doesn't expect him to necessarily be rich and perfect. Many ladies might even reject a “perfect man”, because he sounds just too good to be true! A few flaws may actually improve your chances of winning the heart of your beloved, since they will help her feel that she is good enough for you.
Which brings us to a major mistaken assumption that many men make in their first relationships with very beautiful Ukrainians. Ladies that WE would call very beautiful physically make up such a large percentage of the population there (I would estimate 30% to 40%,), that most of them do not see themselves as extraordinary. I believe it is due to good genes, and not because of the makeup or fashionable clothes they wear, as others have suggested. I have come up with some scientific reasons to explain why Ukrainian ladies are naturally more beautiful, though there is no space to explain them here. If they were living in the USA they would be treated as models and as stars, men would approach them everywhere they went. But this is not the case in their home. There are so many gorgeous ladies in every city, every street, every restaurant, every dance club, every day, that they almost blend in with the crowd. So if she says she is interested in you, believe her, it is true. She is not waiting to meet a Richard Gere or Hugh Jackman type, because in her mind, she could never have such a man.
Do not push the issue of sex too much. Ukrainian ladies are not as “liberated” as American women, so their sensibilities may seem a bit old-fashioned to you. You are interested in finding out if the two of you are compatible or not, it is important. But, you will just have to wait until you get to know each other better. If my experiences have been typical, you won't be disappointed.
Don't be in too much of a hurry. This is a tough one. For many of us, it seems like a lot of money and time to spend on the agency websites, and especially visiting Ukraine in person! We want to be in love, we want to find the right one right away. We may also be afraid of growing old, spending all our money, missing our chance. I have been through it all. However, it is when you sit back and relax, enjoy, and do not put too much pressure on yourself or your lady to make things happen fast, that things will really happen. Again, the good news is the ladies are not so selective about age as Western women are. In their culture it is more normal to see a husband 10, 15, maybe even 20 years older than his wife.
Learn a little Russian. It is a hard language, but even if your lady speaks perfect English, you will need to know some eventually to chat with her parents, relatives, friends. Also, if you know a little you can do cool things like catch a taxi by yourself, get directions, etc. The fact that you are making an effort will show her that you are interested in her culture, and serious about a long term relationship.
You may be writing to/dating more than one lady. Try not to talk about it. She may ask you, and then you need to tell the truth. Turn your mobile phone off when on dates with her. It is always good to have a backup lady, in case you decide the first one is not for you. Or, she may have another suitor, and disappear with him at some point.
Have fun meeting and dating Ukrainian ladies. It can be twice as difficult and frustrating to look for a wife in a foreign land. It can also be twice as exciting and adventurous! It's worth putting a lot of time and effort into one of the most important decisions you will ever make.
